Feel The Love Contest Winners
When the Feel the Love contest launched in February of this year, we were overwhelmed with the response. Over 800 entries poured in from places near and far. Some made us laugh out loud, some pulled at our heartstrings, and still more did both. Once the contest ended, we read and re-read every single entry to determine the winners of the contest, which are posted below.  We only wish we could have had more than four winners, because the entries were all so lovely!

To those who submitted an entry, we're delighted that you've made so many lasting memories on our Island - and thrilled that you'd share them with us.

If you haven't yet had a chance to share a memory, don't worry: you'll be able to post again soon. The contest will be over, but we'd still love to hear from you!

And if you haven't made a Bermuda memory yet, we hope to see you on our beautiful shores soon!

Romance:

Honeymoon Memory
Joellen & Karl K.
Lexington, KY

Memory of Bermuda, you ask?
Nearly 18 years, still a simple task...
A romantic trip, after saying "I Do."
Beautiful colors: pink, white, green, blue.
Friendly faces; greetings with smiles.
A scooter for two; touring for miles.
The lighthouse, flowering cliffs,
a drawbridge so small.
From St. George's to Dockyard,
seeing it all.
The beaches, unbelievable!
Beauty defined.
Relaxed in the sun, caught a show,
then we dine.
Bright and sunny the day, dark and stormy our drink.
A sunset cruise; a playful wink.
A promise to return,
and with blessings from above,
we'll be back one day, to again,
feel the love.

Family:

Three Generations Celebrate
Tina & Bill M.
Wilmington, DE

In May of 2006, my husband and I flew to Bermuda to attend my neice's wedding at the charming St. Michael's Church in Paget Parish. The wedding reception was held on the beach at the Ariel Sands. Three generations of my American family attended, as did three generations of the groom's family, all of whom had traveled from France. To have the opportunity to share the wedding and the beauty of Bermuda, where we'd spend our 2005 honeymoon, with my mother and her siblings is a memory I will never forget. One of the most charming parts of the weekend was when we retraced part of an octogenarian aunt and uncle's honeymoon trip of over 50 years ago by visiting Devil's Hole and then encouraged them to slip away for a private anniversary dinner at Elbow Beach, where they'd spent that honeymoon. Three generations of beautiful Bermuda wedding Memories!

Adventure:

Flippin' Out
Elaine C. & Geoffrey H.
Danvers, MA

Bermuda welcomed us
In her waters oh so blue
By giving us a friendly hand
To shake and say, "How do!"
Two giant smiling faces
One of the birhtday girl
Dancing with the dolphins
On a weekend island whirl.
The weather was perfection
The mopeds quite the ride
The island flora gorgeous
And the food, fresh from the tide.
The Swizzle Inn, a landmark
We stopped in for a drink,
And oh the sandy beaches
Yes, they really are quite PINK!
Our trip was very short
The island barely seen
Take us back to Bermuda
We'd like to meet the Queen!

Rejuvenation:

A Rainbow In Bermuda
John & Sarah H.
Nyack, NY

For our ten year anniversary, my husband promised me a special trip. That never came together, but one year later, we dropped the kids off at my inlaws and jetted off to Bermuda for a little RR&R (rest, relaxation, and romance). It was the first time for both of us and we couldn't believe such a paradise existed so close to New York! We stayed at the Fairmont Southhampton and enjoyed the beautiful beach and the wonderful restaurants, as well as each other's company. Even so, we missed the kids so much and can't wait to return with them next time! On a ferry ride from the Princess to the Fairmont Hamilton, I snapped a photo of a perfect rainbow. Spectacular!
