Bermuda International Film Festival
March 17–25, 2007
Each year since the first festival in 1997, the Bermuda International Film Festival features the best independent films from around the world. The festival – considered by many one of the best small film festivals running – screens feature-length narrative, documentary and short films by an array of emerging talent as well as by more seasoned filmmakers.
The Bermuda International Love Festival
February 16–20, 2007
This February, guests from all over the world are invited to “feel the love” with their significant others on our island paradise. Last year, events inspiring love included a champagne and chocolate welcome reception, a private concert by the Temptations Revue with Dennis Edwards followed by an exclusive party at Bermuda’s hottest nightclub, and a gospel brunch and love commitment ceremony.
The Bermuda International Race Weekend
January 12–14, 2007
Every January the Bermuda International Race Weekend, a three-day festival, begins with a series of road miles on Friday night, builds to a 10K on Saturday and ends in grand style with a marathon and half marathon on Sunday.
Bermuda Big Game Classic
July 12–16, 2006
The Bermuda Big Game Classic is a three-day big-fish team event with top honours going to the team that tallies the most points during the tournament. Large cash prizes are also awarded for second and third place. The tournament also honours the team(s) that catches the largest blue marlin and game fish (by weight). Also, a release trophy and cash prize will be awarded to the boat releasing the most eligible billfish. Eligible species include blue marlin, white marlin, spearfish, sailfish, tuna, wahoo and dolphin.
