Bermuda is proud to host the 27th PGA Grand Slam of Golf, October 19-21, 2009, at our newly renovated Port Royal Golf Course.

The PGA Grand Slam of Golf is the season-ending showcase of the game’s premier foursome and boasts the most difficult qualification requirement in the game. This is golf’s ultimate showdown – reserved for major champions, including the winners of the 2009 Masters, U.S. Open, Open Championship (British Open) and the 91st PGA Championship.

2009 marks the third year in a row that this prestigious event is held on the island of Bermuda. After two years at the Mid Ocean Club, the Grand Slam has moved to the newly renovated Port Royal, ranked by Golf Digest as the world’s best public course.

The course architect Robert Trent, Sr. deemed Port Royal Golf Course his finest work outside of the United States. The public course opened for play in 1970 and has recently undergone a $13.7 million renovation, featuring some of the most picturesque and dramatic holes in golf.

Join us for this 36-hole annual showdown that matches professional golf's best against each other for a $1.35 million purse, played in front of a television audience in more than 100 countries.

Travel packages to the high-profile tournament will be announced on this website. Accommodations range from luxury resorts to intimate guest cottages and family-run inns, all incorporating the sophistication and hospitality unique to the Bermuda experience.

The championship Port Royal Golf Course is highlighted by breathtaking ocean views and a stunning par three on the 16th hole. Take a look at Bermuda's beautiful golf courses.
