Bringing in goods for sale

If you wish to bring in goods and materials for the purpose of sale or soliciting orders during your conference, you must obtain permission in advance from:

The Chief Immigration Officer
Department of Immigration
Ministry of Labour, Home Affairs & Public Safety
P.O. Box HM 1364
Hamilton HM FX, Bermuda
Tel: +1 441 295 5151

And

The Collector of Customs

If permission is granted, any goods brought in for the purpose of sale will be subject to Bermuda Customs duties.

Bringing in trophies or awards

Groups bringing in items, such as trophies, plaques or awards, that are intended for presentation to members of the group, must declare such items as "presentation items to be taken out of Bermuda again by individuals." In such cases, they will not be dutiable.

Individuals carrying presentation items through US Customs on departure from our island may take them out duty free by showing they were not purchased in Bermuda.
