Stroll cobblestone streets

Explore a fort
Our island's original capital until 1815, the Town of St. George hosts some of our oldest and most significant military forts. As your cruise ship pulls into port, you cannot miss the ramparts of Fort St. Catherine. Take time to experience the dramatic ocean views from inside the fortress walls. 15 Coot Pond Road.
Tour churches ancient and unfinished
First visit the Church of St. Peter's, the oldest Anglican church in continuous use in the western hemisphere. Nearby, construction began in the 1870s on a church that would replace St. Peter's. But the effort was halted before completion. Make sure to tour this roofless and magnificent Gothic structure.
Pose under a moongate
At the entrance to Tobacco Bay Beach, one of the incredible public beaches on our island, you will find a picturesque Bermuda moongate. Local legend says that couples who kiss under the limestone archway will be blessed with good fortune. The beach is also ideal for snorkelling. Coot Pond Road.
